Jeff Tsang tells the story of his laser eye surgery experience

How did Jeff Tsang feel before laser eye surgery?

So before eye surgery I basically had pretty bad eyesight. I was shortsighted. I think I was a minus three in each of the eyes. So I really couldn’t see anything beyond sort of the distance of my hand or to read. I knew sort of exactly the problems I used to have. I remember them quite vividly. In the mornings I would wake up and the first thing I do is try and look for the clock, but I couldn’t see it. So actually the first thing I had to do was reach for my glasses and put them on first.

I also used to wear contact lenses, which I hated because it used to dry my eyes out all the time. So yeah, it was just a real issue for me. Always having to wear glasses.

The other thing I remember is sunglasses, right? So I couldn’t just wear or buy a normal pair of sunglasses. It had to be a prescription pair. Right now, I can look at the clock in the morning and see the time. I can go swimming without glasses and being able to see. Looking at it, I have absolutely no regrets about it at all. In fact, I wish I’d done it earlier if I had the opportunity just to get more of the benefits of it for a longer period of time. It is a life changing thing.
